Instructions to graduands

Things to take note:
STEP 1

Ensure you have packed the necessary items

  • Graduation gown
  • E-ticket with QR code (soft copy or hard copy printout) for registration of attendance
  • ID for collection of diploma certificate
STEP 2

Dress for the event

  • Graduands attending the graduation ceremonies must wear the official NYP Graduation Attire.

STEP 3

Register at the auditorium

  • Please report to the holding area in the Auditorium pre-function area 1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes) before your session time. Refer to Ceremony Schedule for your reporting time.
  • Ensure you are properly attired in your graduation attire before you report to the holding area for registration.
  • Upon registration, you will be given a name card. Please check that the correct name card is issued to you.
  • Proceed to your diploma queue and await further instructions from your School lecturers and staff.
STEP 4

Receive your diploma and smile for a photo on stage!

  • Scan your name card at the scanning station as you queue up to go on stage. After the card is scanned, continue to hold on to the card. 
  • When it is your turn to receive the diploma folder, hand your name card to the staff on stage for your name to be read.
  • Upon receiving your diploma folder, smile for a photo by our official photographer.

Stage photographs:
After the ceremony, you may place your order for copies of photographs with the official photographer via their website. More details may be found on the order form that will be given to you after you exit the stage.

STEP 5

Collect your diploma certificate off-stage

  • To ensure that all diplomas are correctly issued, the diploma folder issued on stage will not contain any document.
  • After leaving the stage, you will be ushered to a counter in the auditorium foyer to collect your diploma certificate and graduation souvenir. You may keep the diploma folder with you.
  • Please return to your seat immediately after collecting your diploma. Do not remain outside to take photographs. There will be sufficient time after the ceremony for you to take photographs with your guests.

STEP 6

Enjoy the after-ceremony activities prepared for you!

  • Refreshment bento boxes (snacks and canned water) will be given to all guests and graduates.
  • Capture memories of your special day at the different photosites located around NYP campus.
  • Xpressflower, in partnership with SBM Omni-Channel Retail Centre (OCRC), will be on-site from 02 to 09 May 2025 for sale of flower bouquets. You can also pre-order congratulatory bouquets on their website: https://www.xpressflower.com/special-occasions/nyp-graduation
