Known for her outstanding work ethic and dedication amongst her lecturers and peers, Beatrice made use of every opportunity she had to explore the intersection of business and creativity while working with different personalities. One such opportunity came through the Teaching Enterprise Programme  – an integral part of the School of Business Management (SBM)  curriculum – where Beatrice served as Chief Editor of Catch+,  SBM’s student magazine produced by Mass Media Management students.

“The real-world application in NYP’s assignments gave me a taste of what it’s like in the working world.

I especially enjoyed the modules in Marketing, Media Research Analytics, and Design – which made me realise that I love exploring, understanding trends, and how to creatively adapt these trends in achieving my objectives.

My NYP experience also helped me feel more confident and excited to pursue both communications and business at NTU, and eventually a career in marketing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.”

With her inherent proactive and independent nature, the natural leader also enjoyed fostering connections and expanded her portfolio beyond the diploma curriculum. Besides being president of the SBM Media Club and Publicity lead for Foreign Bodies street dance CCA, she also participated in NYP’s Capstone Leadership Development Programme to raise awareness about ADHD and volunteered for various societal and environmental initiatives.

The all-round achiever eventually graduated as the top of her school and cohort with a 3.94 GPA, respectively receiving the Distinguished DBS Award and the Mediacorp Gold Medal. Additionally, Beatrice earned the AETN Asia Award for her outstanding internship performance at Viddsee, where she honed her skills in social media management, content analysis, and events coordination.

Now embarking on a new journey at Nanyang Technological University’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication Studies, the undergraduate is also a College Scholarship recipient – typically awarded to top polytechnic graduates. She is also further challenging herself by taking a Second Major in Business.

“My time at NYP has prepared me well for the challenges ahead, and I’m looking forward to further deepening my skills and honing my expertise. Whether through leading innovative projects or crafting compelling marketing strategies for iconic brands, I hope to continue utilising my skills to create impactful campaigns that captivate audiences worldwide.”
