While a fresh Diploma graduate would typically take three years to reach a supervisory or managerial level in a company, the AMTP offers the unique opportunity to achieve this in just slightly over a year. Through curated hands-on experiences, mentorship, and training, the AMTP builds leadership competencies in these future management trainees, preparing them to take on the challenges of a rapidly evolving business landscape.

This significant shift in a typical polytechnic student’s career also provides AMTP management trainees an avenue to enhance their professional capabilities and accumulate valuable networks.

How the AMTP works

The AMTP programme structure will vary in requirements and duration depending on the type of business management diploma.

For example, Dip. In Food and Beverage Business (DFBB) trainees can continue their tenure at OUE Restaurants after their final-year internships, to complete a 15-month training programme that will enhance their management and leadership skills. Successful participants are then placed in supervisory roles for a year, with opportunities for further career advancement within OUE’s dining establishments.
