All School of Information Technology (IT) students will process validated, in-demand skills, ensuring they are always ready for both current and emerging technologies. These certifications also enhances their industry relevance and post-graduation career prospects, giving them a competitive edge in today's dynamic job market. 

 

The certification content is infused into NYP's curriculums since 2023 – aligning with our Professional Competency Model – such that students can save their time to prepare for the industry certifications' respective examinations.

15Oracle Certified Foundations Associate, DatabaseThe Oracle Certified Foundations Associate, Database is a foundational level exam that validates an individual’s ability to demonstrate their understanding of the different types of database models and components. The certification also measures an individual’s knowledge of database components, concepts, and design, implementation of business roles, SQL language and queries, and ERD modelling and languages to manage data and transactions.
16Oracle Database SQL Certified AssociateThe Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate validates an individual’s understanding of fundamental SQL concepts needed to undertake any database project. By passing this exam, a certified individual proves fluency in and a solid understanding of SQL language and data modelling, as well as using SQL to create and manipulate tables in an Oracle Database. Qualified candidates know general computing concepts, have knowledge of command line interfaces and have experience working in the command line.
17PCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python ProgrammerPCEP™ – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification (Exam PCEP-30-0x) is a professional credential that measures the candidate's ability to accomplish coding tasks related to the essentials of programming in the Python language. A test candidate should demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the universal concepts of computer programming, the syntax and semantics of the Python language, and the skills in resolving typical implementation challenges with the help of the Python Standard Library. 
18Professional Scrum Developer™ (PSD) certificationThe Professional Scrum Developer™ (PSD) certification validates an individual’s knowledge of how to deliver quality software using the Scrum framework while working in Scrum Teams, including the application of modern Agile and DevOps practices. 
19Qualified Information Security Professional (QISP®) / Qualified Information Security Associate The QISP® examination enables the professionals in Singapore to attest their knowledge in AiSP’s IS-BOK domains which include Governance and Management, Physical Security and Business Continuity, Security Architecture and Engineering, Operation and Infrastructure Security Software Security, Software Security, and Cyber Defence. Candidates must achieve a minimum of 50-64% (Qualified Information Security Associate), and 65% and above (Qualified Information Security Professional) to pass.
