  • Build skills in operative and preventive dentistry, dental hygiene, oral health promotion, and clinic management, while exploring the latest dental innovations.

     

    At the end of this diploma course, you’ll gain the following course competencies:

Course Curriculum

This course adopts the new Professional Competency Model

  • You will take a total of 2 elective GSMs in Year 1. You will have a wide range of elective GSMs to choose from. Please note that the modules offered are subject to change each semester.

    Each elective module consists of 10 hours of class time and 5 hours of eLearning/self-directed learning.

Learn more about what goes into a skin care product, the chemistry behind a good skincare product, as well as the myths and facts behind skin care.

    Understanding Our Environment (ASX112)

     

    Rapid population growth and industrialisation has placed immense pressure on our planet, causing issues like climate change, ocean acidification, water shortages, biodiversity loss, and desertification. This module addresses significant environmental issues and sustainable strategies to ensure a habitable 21st century.

    Fun with Chemistry (ASX113)

     

    An expensive piece of clothing has a stain on it and you’re wondering how to get rid of it, or maybe even create your own cleaning agents. Or perhaps you are curious to know about the chemical molecules behind the various scents? This module will bring you on a fun and exciting journey to better understand how chemistry is present in our lives and how it can affect us daily.

    Wonders of Alternative Medicine (ASX114)

     

    Acupuncture, homeopathy, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine… these are all examples of alternative medicines. The question is, do they really work compared to conventional medicine? This module will bring you on an exploration into the fascinating world of alternative medicines.

    Wonders of Life (ASX206)

     

    Have you ever wondered why you are unique? In this module, you will explore life at the microscopic level by studying the components in the cells, and how they interact with each other. You will learn to create another duplicate of yourself too! Join us now in exploring the wonders of life.
