First Prize in the Inaugural Sustainable Design Competition
Students from Diploma in Experiential Product and Interior Design clinched First Prize in the inaugural Sustainable Design Competition entitled "Containment - Vessel”.
The Singapore Timber Association, in collaboration with SFIC, recently organised the inaugural Sustainable Design Competition, aptly titled "Containment - Vessel." This competition aimed to promote sustainability by utilising recycled timber as a medium for design. 14 teams from various Institutions of Higher Leaning participated, showcasing their innovative ideas.
On 4th January 2024, the teams presented their concepts to a panel of judges comprising industry experts from the furniture and timber sectors.
The First Prize went to second year students from Diploma in Experiential Product and Interior Design, with their project titled "Our Melody," The talented students are Miza Nur Estiqah, Ching Ze Yee, Jeffersen Neo Sheng Jie, and Mohammad Shahri. Their dedicated lecturer, Mr Ayob, gave the team a lot of guidance.
In recognition of their outstanding achievement, the winning team was invited by Capital 95.8FM to share their winning concepts and inspirations live on Sunday, 14th January 2024.
