Besides captivating the attention of the youth with new delicious Vegetarian Bento recipes, Leaf Corner Pte Ltd also received an On-the-Job Training (OJT) blueprint by the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE).

 

• SBM students conducted an insightful customer sensing exercise, utilising surveys and focus groups to gather valuable data on the preferences and needs of the target market.
• The findings from this exercise guided the Nutrition Science students in SAS to create 16 bento vegetarian recipes. Following meticulous evaluation, Leaf Corner incorporated three of these recipes into their menu, resulting in 10% boost in sales and positive customer feedback.
• Recognising the importance of providing healthier food options, Leaf Corner requested SAS to analyse their existing eight recipes, and modify them to meet the rigourous standards required for the Healthier Choice endorsement. With these newly revamped recipes, Leaf Corner was proud to offer an extensive menu of Healthier Choice options to their health-conscious customers.

Satisfied by the outcome of their collaboration with SBM and SAS, Leaf Corner sought operational enhancements. With assistance from NACE, a comprehensive OJT blueprint was designed to optimise both back-of-house and front-of-house operations. This tailored blueprint covered everything from efficient kitchen workflows and exemplary customer service strategies.

 

With the implementation of the OJT blueprint, Leaf Corner executed a rigourous training program across all their outlets, ensuring consistent and excellent service delivery. The collaborative efforts of SBM, SAS, and NACE not only provided valuable market insights, enticing recipes, and Healthier Choice options – this also facilitated the establishment of operational excellence, elevating Leaf Corner's overall business performance.
