Smart Manufacturing System
The Smart Manufacturing system developed in the Smart Factory lab is a web-based system that allow mobile access to machine status and parameters as well as provide real time monitoring of machine activities. The system provides dashboards for data acquired through external sensors and seamless bi-directional communication with CNC machines on the shop floor.
Pilot Project (VR)
A pilot project developed in the area of VR is a game-based workshop safety training program. The programme aims to enhance the effectiveness of student workshop safety training though an immersive VR game with a 3D model of the actual workshop being used by students.
