Diploma in Mass Media Management Students Up the Ante for Singapore’s Bicentennial with Six NDP Video Productions

For the seventh year straight, the students from the Diploma in Mass Media Management were involved in the production of video stories for the nation's biggest national party – the National Day Parade (NDP). Spanning a period of 20 weeks, 12 students and 7 lecturers pit their skills to produce six awesome videos.

In an impressive display of creativity, dedication, and technological prowess, the students from the Diploma in Mass Media Management (DMMM) have once again played a pivotal role in shaping the narrative of Singapore's National Day Parade (NDP). For the seventh consecutive year, these aspiring media professionals took charge of the video production for the nation's grandest celebration, contributing six exceptional video stories that added a unique touch to Singapore's Bicentennial commemoration.

A 20-week journey: students and lecturers collaborate for excellence

Over a period of 20 weeks, a team comprising 12 talented students and seven experienced lecturers from the DMMM program dedicated their skills and expertise to produce six remarkable videos. This collaborative effort showcased not only the technical proficiency of the students but also the guidance and mentorship provided by the seasoned lecturers.

Five videos unveiled at the Padang on 9 August 2019

The fruits of their labour were on full display at the iconic Padang on August 9, 2019. Five of the video stories, meticulously crafted by the DMMM team, were incorporated into the NDP program, capturing the essence of Singapore's rich history, diverse culture, and the spirit of unity. These videos, displayed on the grand stage at the Padang, added a visual spectacle to the celebratory event, resonating with the thousands gathered to mark the momentous occasion.
