About this course

Course objectives

This course aims to equip RNs with the essential knowledge and skills to provide effective clinical supervision to nursing students in pre-registration and post-registration courses.

Course description

Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education is catered to registered nurses meeting the specific minimum entry requirements. Attending trainees are able to provide clinical education to the targeted groups of nursing students.

The course provides participants with training that will prepare them for the supervision of nursing students in the pre-registration and post-registration courses.

The course will be offered part-time over 25 weeks, with academic lessons held once a week (6 hours/week) and practical modules will be conducted full time from Monday to Friday on the last two weeks of each PDC, which are as follows:

PDC 1: Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Practice of Clinical Education (140 hrs)

PDC 2: Post-Diploma Certificate in Assessment of Learning in Advanced Nursing Skills (140 hrs)
