Course objectives
This course will equip participants with a basic understanding of the immune system and how it can at times be the underlying cause of allergic reactions. Participants will learn about the things that can trigger allergic reactions, including common medications, and when to seek medical attention. Common medications to treat allergies, including off-the counter medications, will be discussed.
Course description
1. Participants will gain a basic understanding of how the immune system functions and how it can contribute to allergic reactions.
2. Participants will learn to recognize common triggers of allergic reactions, including medications, and understand the appropriate use of treatments, including over-the-counter allergy medications, and when to seek medical attention.
