Brains & Brawn Combine at Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) 2024

Multidisciplinary teams, comprising students from two Diplomas, illustrated the efficacy of cross-training and collaboration in this competition.

Multidisciplinary teams, consisting of students from both the Diploma in Aerospace Systems & Management and the Diploma in Robotics & Mechatronics, showcased the power of cross-training and collaboration as they triumphed in the Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) 2024. Their stellar performance earned them recognition in two distinct categories, underscoring their excellence and innovative spirit.

In the Multi-Machine category, two drones were deployed to transport payloads from one location to another, navigating through challenging obstacles and ultimately delivering the payloads to a designated target. Team v3 was awarded second place. 

Team v3: Second place in Category D2 Multi-Machine.

In the Drone Swarming category, over 20 drones were deployed to search for victims in an unknown area and report their locations. Team Herone was awarded third place, after university teams from the Singapore Institute of Technology (1st place) and the National University of Singapore (2nd place).
