Make the world your playground with SBM Overseas Programmes
Expand your horizons and apply what you've seen and learnt to your experiences.
At the School of Business Management (SBM), we equip learners with the skills and experiences needed to succeed in today’s interconnected world. Expand your worldview, gain practical experience, and enhance your global expertise!
Here's what’s in store for you:
1. Overseas Student Exchange Programme (OSEP)
SBM’s OSEP lets you spend a semester at one of 68 partner universities across 23 countries. This programme enables you to network internationally, immerse yourself in diverse cultures – all while earning academic credits toward your NYP Business Management diploma.
Imagine spending a semester at OST University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, just like Natalie Tham (Diploma in Business Management) and Aleanor Tan (Diploma in Banking and Finance).
Over five months, they immersed themselves in Swiss culture and enjoyed the country’s natural beauty, the university's intellectual environment, and the warmth of the Swiss people. The exchange exposed them to a diverse and challenging curriculum while also fostering friendships with international students from countries like Portugal, France, Brunei, the Netherlands, and Germany.
When asked about her expereience, Natalie shared:
“Participating in OSEP has taught me the importance of global exposure, broadening my perspectives and equipping me with the skills to navigate an interconnected world. It is an experience I loved every moment of and will always cherish."

Aleanor also shared that there were many opportunities to engage and get to know other international students. "I learnt more about the different traditions and their way of life. It was very fascinating!”
2. Overseas Internship Programme
Spend 3 to 6 months working with our industry partners on real-world global projects. This is your chance to sharpen your skills, expand your professional network, and make your resume stand out with an outstanding internship experience.
Tong Ee Son, Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management shared how his Management Traineeship at JW Marriott Hanoi, Vietnam, provided a solid foundation for his future career in hospitality.
“Internships are pivotal in shaping career paths, offering students hands-on experience and exposure to real-world challenges. I explored the hospitality industry’s inner workings, witnessing firsthand the high standards and precision that define a world-class hotel.
My mentor guided me through the operations of the Service, Coffee, and F&B departments, helping me embrace JW Marriott’s brand principles. I also learned to handle guest concerns using the LEARN Model, which emphasises empathy and cultural sensitivity, particularly in challenging situations.”
