The aim of the WSP Specialist Diploma in Converged Infocomm Infrastructure is to develop specialist manpower with advanced skillsets in Server, Network, Virtualisation and Cloud technologies. Course description
This course is designed as a Work-Study Programme (WSP) to give fresh polytechnic or Post-National Service graduates in Infocomm Technology (ICT), Engineering, and Information Technology (IT) a head-start in careers related to enterprise and cloud infocomm infrastructure. This is achieved through institutional-based learning at the School of Engineering (SEG), Nanyang Polytechnic augmented by on-the-job training (OJT) and work-based projects with participating employers in the infocomm industry.
Target audiences
To be eligible for the programme, the applicant must be:Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent ResidentFresh polytechnic graduate from the Diploma in Infocomm Technology, Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Computer and Electronic Engineering or other related courses in one of the five local polytechnics. He/She has to meet the minimum requirements of the Work-Study Programme (WSP) and be employed by a participating company.
Fresh polytechnic graduates are defined as individuals who are hired by the participating companies within 36 months from their graduation from the polytechnic). For male participants who need to serve National Service, the 36-month period will start from the ORD.
Participants who are Singapore Citizens and fulfills the above criteria will be eligible for a sign-on incentive of up to $5,000 when they are successfully placed on the Programme.
