Course objectives
SFDW 2.0 is an enhanced course training programme that aims to equip Singaporean adults from all walks of life with the relevant mindset and digital literacy skills for work needed in the current and future economy.
Course description
The tourism sector has seen the need to step up to embrace digitalisation and speed up transformation efforts. Tourism businesses are ramping up their digital journey through guidance from the Industry Digital Plans. In this course, learners will acquire an appreciation of the various digitalisation efforts to enhance tourism businesses' digital capabilities, optimised operations, smart ecosystems and data-driven operations. Learners will also be exposed to reputation management systems and be more conversant with digital skills that are required in the tourism environment.
It will focus on the following areas:
1. Aware what jobs and digital skills entail in the digital (Hospitality/Tourism) economy;
2. Able to work in a technology-rich (Hospitality/Tourism) environment
3. Aware of the importance of cyber security in (Hospitality/Tourism) daily/work applications
4. Aware of various in-demand (Hospitality & Tourism) digital applications and tools as well as national digital platforms
5. Aware of how data and information can be used (in Hospitality & Tourism businesses)
6. Able to develop an action plan to continue learning
