About this course

Course objectives

The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Emergency) aims to develop specialty nurses with a well-developed knowledge base and specialist skills in both the technological and the caring dimensions of their respective specialty to make sound and rapid clinical judgements within a complex care environment, and to provide optimal holistic care to clients requiring specialty nursing.

Course description

The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Emergency) courses will be offered full-time over 33 weeks. Total curriculum is 860 hours comprising 420 hours of academic studies and 440 of clinical practice. The following PDCs are covered under this programme:

1. Post-Diploma Certificate in Principles and Science of Emergency Nursing (210 hrs)

2. Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Emergency Nursing 1 (120 hrs)

3. Post-Diploma Certificate in Advanced Concepts in Emergency Nursing (210 hrs)

4. Post-Diploma Certificate in Practice of Emergency Nursing 2 (360 hrs)
