The School of Information Technology (SIT) offers six innovation-oriented IT diploma courses to fulfil the diverse aspirations of the young generation and meet the growing industry demand of IT professionals.
The ITplus+ learning journey @ SIT develop students’ potential and realise their passion in IT. SIT offers well-balanced and up-to-date curricula that integrate technologies and skills with real-life applications and industry practices. In their final year, students are attached to local or overseas companies to gain work experience and industry exposure. Students can take various professional certifications offered by technology leaders, boosting their competitive advantage in career development.
Our Centre for IT Innovation (CITI) is a platform for staff and students to create effective IT software solutions and services for the industry. In the process, students enhance their technical know-how, domain knowledge and project management skill. Technology innovation centres jointly set up with industry leaders, such as the Business Software Innovation Centre and InfoSecurity Innovation Centre, spearhead the innovative use of emerging technologies.
The vibrant life extends beyond the classroom. Students develop their life skills, leadership qualities and global orientation through the many opportunities in overseas expeditions, student club activities, IT & entrepreneurship competitions and community outreach projects. Such learning experience nurtures o0ur students as all-rounder IT professionals, preparing them to
face future challenges locally and globally.
SIT graduates are highly regarded by the industry as knowledgeable and versatile professionals who are able to embrace dynamic changes and contribute innovatively in the digital future. SIT graduates are also readily admitted for further studies at local and overseas universities with advanced standing, often excelling themselves with high honours.
