With the government emphasis on globalization, IBRC was established in 1993 to support Nanyang Polytechnic’s (NYP) strategic international thrust by helping to foster among staff and students a global mindset to face the competitive challenges of an integrated and borderless environment.
Besides providing resource information on international business,
IBRC undertakes research studies on a variety of business
issues such as country and industry analyses, e-commerce,
benchmarking, branding, knowledge management and integrated
resort management. IBRC also seeks to meet the needs of the
industry by collaborations on client commissioned research
projects that are of mutual interest and benefit. Lastly,
IBRC is one of several platforms under the School of Business
Management’s Training Enterprise Project (TEP) programme
under which students are trained in business research processes.
